New Glacial Blue edition for the Klepcys DICE by Cyrus Genève

Cyrus Genève has unveiled the Klepcys DICE Glacial Blue, a new 38-piece limited edition of its innovative double chronograph.

The Klepcys DICE (Double Independent Chronograph Evolution), the world's first double independent chronograph, was first launched in 2021 in red and blue, and was later followed by various versions introducing different colour and material combinations, such as the Racing edition with a carbon fibre bezel or the Lime Carbon model introducing an innovative carbon fibre bezel featuring luminescent inclusions.

Now, the exclusive timepiece is presented in Glacial Blue, a pale shade inspired by the depths of glaciers and beautifully paired with black and white, the two colours chosen to distinguish the two independent chronographs accommodated within the cushion-shaped case.

Measuring 42 mm in diameter, the case is crafted from lightweight Grade 5 titanium and characterised by the symmetrical twin crowns, a hallmark of the Klepcys line. 

Water-resistant to a pressure of 10 ATM (approximately 100 metres / 330 feet), this case has a total height of 16.5 mm, anti-reflective sapphire crystal included.

Polished and brushed finishes highlight the dynamic lines of the case and its elongated lugs.

The two independent chronographs can be started, stopped, and reset by pressing the pushers on the two crowns, situated at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock respectively. 

They are identified by the two black and white anodised aluminium rings on the crowns. The crown at 3 o'clock is also used for time-setting and winding the movement.

All chronograph indications follow the black-and-white colour scheme. This applies to the two central seconds hands (each of a different length) and to the 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o'clock, equipped with two vertically aligned hands.

Unlike a rattrapante chronograph, which measures two events that start simultaneously but end at different times or indicates intermediate elapsed times, the Klepcys DICE can measure elapsed times even when they start at different moments.

The counter at 3 o'clock is visually balanced by the small seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock that is made in smoked sapphire crystal. 

The running seconds are indicated by a rhodium-plated microbeaded helix with a luminescent tip.

The sapphire crystal ring features Arabic numerals in relief with white Super-LumiNova that - like the hour, minute and running seconds hands - emits a blue glow. 

The sapphire crystal caseback reveals other details of the manufacture self-winding CYR718 calibre, a 443-component movement that beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a power reserve of 55 hours delivered by a single barrel.

The open-worked monobloc rotor is engraved with the motto "The Conquest of Innovation" and adorned with an 18k 4N gold helix.

Paired with a cordura fabric strap with a double folding clasp crafted in the same material of the case, the Cyrus Klepcys DICE Glacial Blue, ref. 539.508.TT.D, is priced at CHF 33.500, excluding taxes. cyrus-watches.ch
