DOXA is launching today the new SUB 200 C-Graph collection, offering a sporty self-winding three-counter chronograph in steel with six different dial colours.
The Swiss watchmaker has a long tradition in using colours for the dials of its watches. In 1967, DOXA was the first brand to introduce a diver's watch with a colourful dial, a bright orange, instead of the usual black, white or gray.
The new collections offers a choice of 6 colours - Orange Professional, Silver Searambler, Black Sharkhunter, Navy Caribbean, Yellow Divingstar, and Turquoise Aquamarine - and 12 versions. In fact, all models can be matched to either the signature stainless steel ‘rice bead’ bracelet with a deployant clasp and diver’s extension or to a new top-quality rubber strap, with a tang buckle and DOXA markings on both sides.
Crafted from 316L stainless steel, the case has a diameter of 45 mm but wears very comfortably thanks to short lugs.
Under a dome-shaped, scratch-resistant sapphire glass box crystal that contributes to a total thickness of 17.4 mm, the dial has a 3-6-9 layout with the chronograph 30 minutes and 12 hour scounters at 3 and 6 o'clock respectively. The running seconds at 9 o'clock are recognizable at first glance for the square-tipped hand vs a triangular tip used for the other counters.
All the key indications on the dial and on the unidirectional rotating bezel are treated with a Super-LumiNova luminescent coating for excellent legibility in poor light environments.
The screw-in solid case back and screw-down crown ensure water resistance up to a pressure of 20 bar (approximately 200 metres / 650 feet).
The movement of choice is the Sellita SW510 b, a thoroughly tested and highly reliable Swiss automatic chronograph movement beating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) with a power reserve of approximately 48 hours.
All the new DOXA SUB 200 C-Graph models are immediately available with prices of CHF 2,690 with stainless steel ‘rice bead’ bracelet or CHF 2,650 with rubber strap. Soon our hands-on review. Stay tuned. doxawatches.com
