Corum presented a comprehensive renewal of its Admiral collection with eleven new references, structured around four key developments: a redesigned case, updated dial executions, a newly integrated bracelet, and a proprietary automatic calibre developed in collaboration with Concepto in La Chaux-de-Fonds.
The new range replaces the previous Admiral models in its entirety and is divided into two case sizes: six references in 39 mm and five in 36 mm. The redesign has been carried out with the involvement of Emmanuel Gueit, with final development by Corum’s in-house team.
While introducing a new design language, the collection retains the distinctive nautical identity of the Admiral line through its emblematic dodecagonal case and characteristic pennants, historically used to represent the hours through maritime signal flags and here reinterpreted and integrated into trapezoidal hour markers.
This approach preserves their visual identity while aligning them more closely with traditional watchmaking aesthetics.
Another significant evolution concerns the bracelet. For the first time, the Admiral adopts a fully integrated construction, eliminating traditional lugs and creating a continuous transition between case and bracelet.
The new five-link design combines satin-finished and polished surfaces, with proportions carefully balanced to ensure both visual coherence and ergonomic comfort.
All bracelets are interchangeable without tools via a push-button system integrated into the case.
The new Admiral models are powered by Calibre CO231, a proprietary automatic calibre developed jointly with Concepto.
Operating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), the movement delivers a power reserve of approximately 72 hours and incorporates a stop-seconds function and quick-set date.
Its architecture has been conceived to support future developments.
Visible through the sapphire caseback, the movement features a balance positioned at 12 o’clock, a relatively uncommon configuration, along with finishes including satin-brushed surfaces, polished bevels and a gold-toned oscillating weight with tungsten counterweight.
Within this framework, the Admiral 39 mm serves as the core of the collection. Measuring 39 mm in diameter and 8.90 mm in thickness, it is offered in six references, each exploring a distinct material and dial combination.
Three stainless steel versions include a model with coloured pennant markers and a blue gradient dial with wave motif (ref. A39.231.AB0.0G, CHF 10,900), a variant with monochrome pennants and a sunburst dial in shifting blue-green tones (ref. A39.231.AQ0.0G, CHF 10,900), and a version featuring a meteorite dial, marking the first use of this material within the Admiral line (ref. A39.231.AG0.0G, CHF 13,900).
A fourth execution introduces a titanium case combined with a skeletonised movement (ref. A39.232.TZ0.1G, CHF 19,500), highlighting the architectural layout of the calibre, including the barrel at 6 o’clock and the escapement positioned at 12 o’clock.
Two additional versions incorporate gold: a bi-material steel and gold model with gold bezel and central bracelet links (ref. A39.231.FG0.2F, CHF 23,000), and a full rose gold version with a grained dial and matching tones, paired with a rubber strap (ref. A39.231.OO0.4S, CHF 33,000).
Complementing this, the Admiral 36 introduces a more compact interpretation of the collection for the first time. The five references combine steel, rose gold and gem-set variations while maintaining the same design principles.
A full steel model with blue gradient dial and coloured pennants mirrors the 39 mm version, alongside another steel execution with a burgundy sunburst dial.
The remaining models incorporate mother-of-pearl dials and diamond-set bezels, including a steel version with iridescent blue dial, a rose gold model on rubber strap, and a final variant with a stone-grey dial and restrained gem-setting limited to the bezel. corum.ch
