Bulgari expands the Octo Finissimo with new 37 mm models and the BVF 100 calibre

Bulgari introduces the Octo Finissimo 37 mm with the new BVF 100 automatic calibre at Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026. Prices from €17,700. Bvlgari

Bulgari marks its second consecutive participation at Watches and Wonders Geneva (April 14–20) with the launch of the Octo Finissimo 37, offering a 37 mm alternative to the original 40 mm version. 

This novelty will appeal to many enthusiasts, particularly those seeking a more compact interpretation of the model.

Rather than simply reducing proportions, the Octo Finissimo 37 introduces a new movement, the self-winding Calibre BVF 100.

The result of three years of development and validation, this ultra-thin movement with micro-rotor operates at a frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour) and offers a power reserve of 72 hours. 

This represents an increase compared to the 60 hours of the Calibre BVL 138 used in the 40 mm version.

Despite being 0.12 mm thicker than the movement used in the 40 mm Octo Finissimo, the new calibre achieves a 20% reduction in volume.

 This has been made possible by developments carried out over the past three years on the Piccolissimo and Solotempo ladies’ movements used in the Serpenti collection.

Three Octo Finissimo 37 references are powered by the new Calibre BVF 100.

The first model, ref. 104089, is crafted in sandblasted titanium, the signature material of the Finissimo line since its launch. Price: €17,700.

The second version, ref. 104351, is also in titanium but combines satin-brushed and polished finishes. The opaline titanium dial is paired with rhodium-plated hands and indices. Price: €18,500.

The third version, ref. 104120, is made of 18-carat yellow gold and features a matching dial with gold-plated hands and indices. Price: €50,700.

The geometric case of the Octo Finissimo draws inspiration from ancient Roman architecture, with its interplay of edges, curves, and volumes. The screw-down crown is set with a black ceramic insert.

The integrated bracelet is equipped with a push-button clasp designed to improve ergonomics. 

This approach also extends to the case and bracelet junction, now secured via a screw-fastening system. It has been engineered to accommodate different materials and finishes.

Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, the movement features radiating Côtes de Genève on the bridges and mainplate, a more complex motif than traditional straight Geneva stripes.

The construction also highlights attention to detail, including the redesigned profile of the octagonal screws.

Designed to balance wearability and comfort, the watch weighs approximately 65 grams.

In addition to the automatic models, Bulgari also introduced a complication piece, the Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater, ref. 104250. 

Executed in sandblasted titanium, a material chosen for its acoustic properties, it is powered by the in-house calibre BVL 362.

Beating at 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour), this hand-wound movement offers a power reserve of 72 hours.

The pusher activating the striking mechanism is positioned on the caseband at 9 o’clock.

The titanium hour markers feature an openworked design, echoed by the small seconds counter at 6 o’clock. These openings help enhance sound diffusion within the case.

The circular-section gongs are fixed directly to the case and individually shaped and finished by hand, as are the two hammers. Price upon request.

Water resistance for all four Bulgari Octo Finissimo 37 models is rated at 3 ATM (30 metres / 100 feet).
