Baume et Mercier enriched its Classima collection with four new automatic models, three for men and one for women, characterised by fresh and trendy colours.

Elegant yet casual, these new Classima are definitely in line with the goals that William Baume and Paul Mercier set for their timepieces when they said: “Why not combine the dependability and precision of a watch of the highest quality with the lightness and appeal of contemporary aesthetics? People want freshness, beauty, lightness”.

Playing with materials and shades, the designers of Baume et Mercier used an original palette of colours including khaki, sand beige, olive green, burgundy and blue.

The three models for men come in 42 mm x 8.65 mm cases crafted from stainless steel with a polished finish and a screwed solid caseback. They are all powered by a 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) self-winding movement (base Sellita SW200) offering 38 hours of power reserve. Their suggested retail price is CHF 1,650.

The first model, the Classima M0A10695, evokes the desert with a slate sun satin dial and sand-colored flange which coordinates with the hue of the solid canvas strap. Rhodium-plated leaf hands sweep along the undertones of the slate, pointing to the white Roman numerals and indexes which adorn the round dial. The beige seconds hand and the date aperture at 3 o’clock complete the dial.

The dominating colour of the second model, the Classima M0A10696, is green. The sapphire crystal reveals a warm silver sun satin dial with a green flange. Black Roman numerals and indexes are indicated by black leaf hour and minute hands. The seconds hand is green. The interchangeable green canvas strap enhances the casual character of this timepiece.

The Classima M0A10694 combines a burgundy sun satin dial with a blue flange which brings the minute track. The three rhodium-plated leaf hands point to white Roman numerals and indexes. The blue canvas strap can be changed in seconds thanks to a straight spring-bar system that allows the wearer to change the strap without tools.

Designed for women, the Classima M0A10691 is housed in a 34 mm x 8.15 mm case in polished stainless steel matched to a five-row bracelet that can be easily swapped with the additional blue canvas strap delivered with the watch. The sapphire crystal protects a sun satin burgundy dial encircled by a blue flange. The leaf hands, the rhodium-plated Roman numerals and indexes are typical of this collection.

The sapphire crystal on the back showcases the automatic ETA 2892 movement guaranteeing an autonomy of 42 hours and beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz). The suggested retail price of this model is CHF 2,210.
