TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E5 marks the fifth generation of the brand’s smartwatch line. Prices start from CHF 1,500
TAG Heuer presents the Connected Calibre E5, the fifth generation of its luxury smartwatch collection.
The result of ten years of continuous development, the Calibre E5 combines Swiss watchmaking expertise with in-house digital innovation, focusing on enhancing the user experience.
Alongside the signature 45 mm version, TAG Heuer now offers a new 40 mm case designed to suit a wider range of wrists while preserving the aesthetic identity of the Connected line.
The case has been refined with more fluid lines and redesigned pushers that improve tactile feedback.
A new interchangeable strap system creates a seamless connection between case and strap, eliminating the visual breaks seen in earlier models. A wider selection of materials and colours, including rubber, leather, metal and nylon, is also available.
The 45 mm versions are available in stainless steel with ceramic bezels or in black DLC-coated titanium with a sandblasted finish.
The 40 mm range features polished stainless steel cases with domed sapphire crystals and printed hour markers on the underside for improved clarity.
A rose gold PVD variation with a beige rubber strap and pin buckle introduces warmer tones.
The Calibre E5 also offers an expanded range of digital watch faces inspired by TAG Heuer’s Carrera, Aquaracer, and Formula 1 collections, allowing wearers to personalise their watch while maintaining a strong connection to the brand’s watchmaking heritage.
The Connected Calibre E5 runs on TAG Heuer OS, the brand’s proprietary operating system developed in-house based on Android Open Source Project. The latest version features a cleaner layout, improved legibility, and faster navigation.
TAG Heuer OS supports voice calls and voice assistant functions through an integrated speaker and microphone, and includes custom haptic feedback and sound alerts.
Users can personalise the interface with various widgets, including activity tracking, heart rate monitoring, and weather updates.
Battery life has been extended across the line, with the 45 mm model offering up to three days of power and the 40 mm version up to two. A 30-minute charge provides a full day of use for the 45 mm, and 40 minutes for the 40 mm.
Connectivity has been improved with pairing speeds up to five times faster than before, along with full MFi (Made for iPhone) certification ensuring compatibility with iOS devices.
Continuing its tradition of precision instruments for daily life, TAG Heuer has enhanced the wellness capabilities of the Connected Calibre E5 to provide clear and relevant insights into physical activity and wellbeing.
The Wellness Activity app monitors calories burned, steps taken, and active time, offering daily and weekly summaries that help users maintain consistent routines. Personalised goal settings make it easy to track progress.
The Heart Rate app delivers continuous readings with data on minimum, maximum, and resting heart rates, presented through clear daily graphs.
A sleep monitoring feature will be introduced later in the winter, allowing users to analyse sleep phases, blood oxygen saturation (SpO₂), breathing rate, and heart rate variability. Combined, these metrics will provide a detailed overview of sleep quality and overall health.
The Calibre E5 Golf Edition continues TAG Heuer’s close link with the sport. It features an engraved bezel marked with the 18 holes and a bi-material strap inspired by golf ball dimples.
The redesigned map display now shows full hole layouts with automatic zoom and scoring, while faster GPS and improved shot detection enhance accuracy. More than 40,000 golf courses can be downloaded worldwide.
