The Clifton range from Baume & Mercier embodies the enduring charm of classical design and proportions. The addition of captivating complications such as moon phases harmonises perfectly with this approach.

In 2024, two new timepieces pay homage to the fascination of lunar phases within this highly appreciated collection: the Clifton Baumatic Moon Phases Date, references M0A10756 and M0A10758.

Watches of great versatility that can be worn every day, these new Clifton models are housed in 39 mm x 12.2 mm cases in stainless steel whose elegant lines are highlighted by alternating satin-brushed and polished surfaces. Water resistance has been tested up to a pressure of 5 bar (approximately corresponding to a depth of 50 metres / 165 feet).

A domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-glare coating on both sides protects the dial, offered in two variations: one in in gradated blue lacquer (ref. M0A10756) and the other in gradated gray lacquer (ref. M0A10758). 

The slightly elongated trapezoid indexes are riveted, faceted, and rhodium-plated or gold-plated, just like the alpha-shaped hour/minute hands and the seconds and date hands. The date is displayed on a riveted ring, either rhodium-plated or gold-plated, which surrounds the polished moon-phase disk. 

A transparent sapphire crystal back, fastened by 4 screws and suitable for engraving on request, reveals the Baumatic manufacture movement BM14-1975 AC1, in-house designed at the workshops in Les Brenets, which operates at a frequency of 4Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and offers a remarkable power reserve of 120 hours (or five days). This self-winding movement is resistant to everyday magnetic fields of up to 1,500 Gauss and offers a precision of -4/+6 per days.

Finishes include circular-grained bridges, a sand-blasted and snailed baseplate, and an openworked weight adorned with snailed and “Côtes de Genève" designs.
