The Armin Strom design team won the Red Dot Design Award 2019 for excellence in product design for the third time.
This time the international design prize, in the “Watches” category, was awarded to the Dual Time Resonance model that was first launched last October 2018 in a limited edition of 8 pieces in titanium.
The model was then presented also in rose gold and white gold as well as in an exceptional crystal-clear sapphire crystal version.
The watch is particularly remarkable for its patented mechanism which takes advantage from the phenomenon of resonance to improve the watch’s precision by synchronizing two independent movements arranged side by side in the unconventional oval-shaped case.
As if this was not enough, in the Dual Time Resonance the two independent movements display two independent time zones while beating in resonance.
The Red Dot is an international competition for product design, communication design and design concepts which awards quality and functionality. The international jury only awards this sought-after seal of quality to works that set themselves apart significantly from comparable works thanks to their excellent design. The jury is composed by 40 members including independent designers, professors and professional journalists who assess the products in an evaluation process lasting for several days. arminstrom.com
