Launched in 2010 with a black dial, the Nautilus reference 5726 was also the first Patek Philippe watch in stainless steel with an annual calendar complication. In 2012 a white dial version followed.
At Baselworld 2019, Patek Philippe has finally presented a stainless steel version of the Nautilus 5726 featuring a blue dial – the colour of the original Nautilus model of 1976, the legendary reference 3700/1 (you can read the complete history of the Nautilus here).
Horizontal embossing and subtle grading from blue to black at the dial’s periphery create a powerful yet refined aesthetic that the majority of collectors and watch enthusiasts consider the ideal complement for the steel case.
Sporty yet elegant, the 40.5 mm (10-4 o’clock) case of the new Nautilus 5726/1A Annual Calendar protects the self-winding Calibre 324 S QA LU 24H/303, whose beautiful finishes and 21K gold rotor are showcased through the sapphire crystal case back.
Comprising 347 parts, this movement beats at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and offers a power reserve of 35 to 45 hours.
In addition to hours, minutes and central seconds, the Nautilus 5726/1A displays day, month, date, moon phases and 24-hour.
The correctors of the calendar indications are seamlessly integrated in the Nautilus case thanks to an ingenious system of deflection mechanisms.
Legibility in daylight and in the dark is excellent thanks to the broad hour and minute hands as well as the applied white-gold hour markers with luminescent coatings.
Integrated in the case, the stainless steel bracelet is beautifully finished with polished central links and satin-finished lateral links and secured to the wrist by a patented fold-overclasp.
Water resistant to 120 metres / 390 feet, the Nautilus 5726/1A Annual Calendar has a price of Euro 41,320 / US$ 45,930. patek.com

This is a watch of rare beauty. I even prefer it over the 5711. It could be by ultimate watch but it will remain a dream.
ReplyDeleteBest Nautilus ever. Even better than 5711.
