TAG Heuer has launched the latest generation of the Carrera Day-Date ina wide range of dial variants: blue, red, black. Prices starting from CHF 3,900
TAG Heuer has launched the latest generation of the Carrera Day-Date, a timepiece steeped in motor racing heritage and admired for its enduring style and performance.
Staying true to its elegant and reliable character, the updated Carrera Day-Date introduces several enhancements, including a manufacture movement, refined design features, and a broader selection of configurations to suit diverse preferences.
Driven by his passion for motorsport, Jack Heuer drew inspiration from the legendary Carrera Panamericana road race held in 1950s Mexico to create a watch for drivers, prioritising legibility, precision, and practicality. The result was the Carrera, unveiled at the Basel fair in the spring of 1963.
Over the years, the Carrera has been worn by some of the greatest motorsport champions, sharing their triumphs (read more of the history of the TAG Heuer Carrera here).
Carrying this legacy forward, TAG Heuer introduces the new Carrera Day-Date collection for 2025, comprising six models distinguished by their dial designs, materials, and strap options, all housed in 41 mm x 12.57 mm stainless steel cases offering water resistance to 100 metres / 330 feet.
A wide range of dial variants is available: the signature blue version features a sunray-brushed finish that enhances its elegance; a smoky red opaline dial adds a sophisticated touch; and the classic black dial is offered in either full steel or a steel and 18K 5N rose gold combination.
Adding further versatility, the collection also includes a black grained dial model, characterised by a striking red lacquered central hand and vivid blue accents across the dial.
Depending on the model, rhodium-plated or 18K 5N rose gold-plated hands and indexes elevate the overall aesthetic.
Alongside the new Carrera Day-Date, TAG Heuer has also presented the Carrera Date Twin-Time on a steel bracelet. This model features a practical GMT function for tracking two time zones at once, paired with a striking teal sunray-brushed dial and a two-tone flange in teal and silver that lends a dynamic visual appeal.
The red-tipped GMT hand, recalling the TAG Heuer Carrera GMT from the brand’s heritage, is complemented by rhodium-plated Arabic numerals and faceted hour and minute hands filled with white Super-LumiNova for enhanced visibility in low-light conditions.
Visible through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback, the TH31-02 and the TH31-03 (for the Twin-Time) movements, co-developed with Manufacture AMT and produced exclusively for TAG Heuer, operate at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and deliver an 80-hour power reserve.
They feature high-end finishings, including an open-worked shield-shaped oscillating mass. The new Victory Wreath engraving on the caseback link each TAG Heuer Carrera Day-Date to the collection’s racing history.
The updated Carrera H steel bracelet features a quick-change link system, allowing for tool-free adjustments at home. Its tapered, flexible construction ensures both comfort and visual refinement.
On the black fine-grained dial model, the leather strap has been enhanced with light blue edge detailing for a distinctive touch.
The new TAG Heuer Carrera Day-Date models have suggested retail prices of CHF 3,900 with blue dial and calfskin leather strap (ref. WDA2110.FC6614), CHF 4,300 with black dial and steel bracelet (ref. WDA2111.BA0043), CHF 8,250 with black dial and steel and 18K 5N rose gold bracelet (ref. WDA2111.BD0001), CHF 4,100 with blue (ref. WDA2112.BA0043) or red dial (ref.
