In 2021 Seiko celebrates the 140th anniversary of Seiko's foundation with the re-creation of the second series of King Seiko, the King Seiko KSK introduced in 1965.
The original King Seiko KSK - 1965
Crafted from stainless steel and measuring 38.1 mm in diameter and 11.4 mm in thickness, the sharp case of the new King Seiko has flat surfaces and multi-faceted corners. The bold lugs feature large flat planes and razor sharp angles and are Zaratsu polished to a distortion-free mirror finish.
Protected by a box shaped sapphire crystal, the flat dial has faceted indexes and broad hands for excellent legibility. The 12 o'clock index is faceted and textured. The indications are completed by a date aperture at 3 o'clock.
The self-winding Caliber 6L35 beats at the frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and offers a power reserve of 45 hours.
The case back is embellished by the "King Seiko" emblem and printed with the individual number of each piece. The watch is water resistant to 5 bar (50 metres / 165 feet).
The new King Seiko SJE083J1 is a limited edition of 3,000 pieces with a price of Euro 3,400 / US$ 3,300. seikowatches.com
