For fourteen years, the Project Z series by Harry Winston found inspiration in architecture bringing to the market timepieces characterized by tridimensional dials housed in cases crafted from Zalium. This is also the case of the new Project Z14. The Harry Winston Project Z14 is a limited edition of 300 pieces, each with a price of Euro 26,000.
For fourteen years, the Project Z series by Harry Winston found inspiration in architecture bringing to the market timepieces characterized by tridimensional dials housed in cases crafted from Zalium.
This high-tech material, a signature of the brand, is an alloy of aluminium and zirconium that is ultra-light and corrosion-resistant.
The new Project Z14 comes in a 42.2 mm x 10.7 mm case whose shape, lugs, crown and arches recall the entrance to Harry Winston’s Fifth Avenue Flagship Salon.
The dial features an openwork structure characterized by a gray colour palette with accents of blue used for the hands and indexes located in the excentered counter at noon as well as for the seconds arch at 120 degrees, graduated from 0 to 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, the red seconds hand instantly returns, due to a system with a snail-shaped cam and return spring. The mechanics of this retrograde second are visible behind its counter.
Gray dominates the remainder of the dial, while black is used for the framework elements and the grid of the excentered dial featuring horizontal and vertical segments that work together to create a linear picture.
Behind the dial beats the HW2202 caliber, a 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) automatic movement that draws its energy from an openwork white gold rotor offering a 65 hours of power reserve.
Compoleted by a blue rubber strap structured like a textile bracelet, the Harry Winston Project Z14 is a limited edition of 300 pieces, each with a price of Euro 26,000. harrywinston.com
