De Bethune Urwerk Moon Satellite. De Bethune and Urwerk cooperated together to create a unique timepiece that will be auctioned on occasion of Only Watch 2019. The 8th edition of Only Watch will take place on 9 November 2019 at the Four Seasons Hôtel des Bergues, in Geneva
De Bethune and Urwerk cooperated together to create a unique timepiece that will be auctioned on occasion of Only Watch 2019, the biennial charity auction of one-off luxury timepieces donated by the finest watch manufacturers to help finance research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a degenerative neuromuscular disease.

The interaction of the two independent Swiss watchmakers produced a fascinating timepiece that is the fusion of two DNAs.

Only Watch 2019: De Bethune and Urwerk Moon Satellite

The 43 mm wide and 13.3 mm thick case of the Moon Satellite is crafted from Grade 5 titanium with a mirror-polished finish and characterizing details like the floating lugs, the crown at 12 o'clock and the curved sapphire crystal protecting the 4 Hz (28,800 vph) DBUR2105 caliber jointly developed for this special auction.

De Bethune and Urwerk Moon Satellite

Comprised of 336 parts, this one-off hand-wound movement powers Urwerk’s satellite complication display with wandering hour and retrograde minute indicator as well as De Bethune's typical spherical moon phase. Thanks to a self-regulating twin barrel, the movement offers four days of power reserve.

The 8th edition of Only Watch will take place on Saturday 9 November 2019, at the Four Seasons Hôtel des Bergues, in Geneva, under the hammer of Christie’s. The event is organised by Association Monégasque contre les Myopathies (Monaco Association against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy) and is supported by Prince Albert II of Monaco. onlywatch.com
