New Gérald Genta Geneva Time Only debuts in rose and white gold

The Gérald Genta brand expands its Geneva collection with two new time-only models that build on the design language introduced last year with the Geneva Minute Repeater.

Dedicated to the birthplace of the famed designer that gives its name to the brand, the Geneva collection is distinguished by an updated cushion-shaped case, softer and more refined than Gérald Genta’s original 1970s design.

Neither round nor square, the cushion case of the new Geneva Time Only plays with light through the contrast between polished and satin-brushed surfaces, further enhanced by the sculpted gadroon.

Each case is crafted in-house at LVMH’s La Fabrique des Boîtiers.

Designed by Matthieu Hegi, Artistic Director of La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, the case adopts a slimmer profile and a versatile 38 mm diameter with a thickness of just 8.15 mm.

A single, broader and shorter lug on each side further defines its distinctive silhouette.

At launch, the Geneva Time Only is offered in two tone-on-tone interpretations.

The Geneva Time Only Marrone (ref. ECFD01A1) features a rose gold 4N case and matching hands, paired with a tone-on-tone grained brass dial enhanced by a smoked gradient effect in warm brown hues.

The watch is fitted with a brown leather strap.

The Geneva Time Only Grafite (ref. ECFF01A1) presents a cooler, more understated character, with a white gold case and a silver-shaded grained brass dial.

Rounded gold hands and indexes provide depth and contrast, while a grey calfskin leather strap completes the look.

The dial’s two-segment minute track creates subtle optical effects: the outer segment follows the cushion-shaped outline of the case, while the inner segment is perfectly circular, reinforcing the watch’s distinctive “not-quite-round” aesthetic.

Powering both models is the Zenith Elite GG-005P automatic calibre, equipped with a revised in-house oscillating mass. The movement operates at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and offers a power reserve of approximately 50 hours.
