In 2019 Patek Philippe introduced the new Aquanaut 5168G-010 characterised by a khaki green colour which enhances the sportiness of this model. The new Patek Philippe Aquanaut Ref. 5168G-010 with khaki green dial has a price of Euro 36,610 / US$ 39,690.
Following the Aquanaut Ref. 5168G-001 in white gold with a midnight-blue dial and blue rubber strap that we presented two years ago, in 2019 Patek Philippe introduced the new Aquanaut 5168G-010 characterised by a khaki green colour which enhances the sportiness of this model.
The dial’s embossed checkerboard pattern sets the stage for the applied Arabic numerals, applied five-minute markers and baton-style hour and minute hands, all in white-gold with a luminescent coating. A sweep seconds hand and a date aperture at 3 o’clock complete the time indications.
With a diameter of 42.2 mm, this model is the largest in the Aquanaut line and nicknamed "Jumbo" for this reason. The rounded octagonal case is enhanced by a polished finish on the flat and a satin finish on the caseband, while the bezel alternates between vertically satin-finished flats and polished flanks.
The sapphire-crystal case back reveals the self-winding manufacture calibre 324 S C. Merely 3.3 mm in height, the movement is so flat that even with its elaborate seals and gaskets, the complete watch is just 8.25 mm thick.
The central rotor in 21K gold provides a power reserve of up to 45 hours and it is decorated with perlage and Geneva circular graining as well as an engraved Calatrava cross, a registered Patek Philippe trademark.
Water resistant to 120 metres / 400 feet, the watch is matched to a khaki green rubber strap with a patented fold-over clasp, whose four independent catches optimize the opening/ closing security.
