TAG Heuer Monaco 1969-1979 bSpecial Edition. The Monaco Calibre 11 50th Anniversary 1970's Special Edition is a 169-piece limited edition created by TAG Heuer to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic chronograph. It is characterized by a textured green Côtes de Genève dial. The TAG Heuer Monaco Calibre 11 50th Anniversary 1970's Special Edition (ref. CAW211V.FC6466) has a price of Swiss Francs 6,400.
In 2019 TAG Heuer celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Monaco, its square-shaped automatic chronograph which has become a watchmaking icon for its unique design and groundbreaking technology. A series of five exclusive models will be released for the occasion.

The first of this series is the Monaco Calibre 11 50th Anniversary 1970's Special Edition, a 169-piece limited edition characterized by a textured green Côtes de Genève dial with brown and amber touches and two black gold-plated sunray sub-dials at 3 and 9 o'clock.

The beveled and slightly domed sapphire crystal has an anti-reflective coating.

Like the 1969 original, the Monaco Calibre 11 50th Anniversary 1970's Special Edition features the crown on the left and angled chronograph buttons on the right side. The signature square case (39 mm x 39 mm) is made in stainless steel and it is water resistant to 100 meters.

The case-back of this 70s-inspired timepiece is engraved with the original “Monaco Heuer” logo as well as “1969-1979 Special Edition” and “One of 169”.

The movement is the Swiss automatic Calibre 11 with 59 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of 40 hours.
