Orange is a special color for the Omega's Planet Ocean line. In fact, when it was first launched in 2005, the new model appeared with bezel and strap in an eye-catching bright orange.
With the new Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Orange, the Swiss brand reprises and updates that classic orange look.
The unidirectional rotating bezel is now enhanced by an orange ceramic bezel ring embellished by a diving scale filled with liquid ceramic and Super-LumiNova. Protected by a domed scratch‑resistant sapphire crystal with anti‑reflective treatment on both sides, the polished dial in white ceramic is completed by applied Arabic numerals in varnished orange and the distinctive "broad arrow" rhodium-plated hands with white Super-LumiNova. As the final touch, the central seconds hand is orange-tipped.
The 43.50 mm case in stainless steel is water resistant to 60 bar (600 metres / 2,000 feet) and can be matched to a seamlessly integrated and fully-brushed steel bracelet (ref. 215.30.44.21.04.001) or to a colorful NATO strap (ref. 215.32.44.21.04.001). The bracelet is secured to the wrist by a patented extendable foldover rack-and-pusher with an extra diver extension.
Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8900 beats at 25,200 vibrations per hour (3.5 Hz) with a power reserve of 60 hours. The movement and the full watch have been officially certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology. You can read more about the METAS certification process here.
