Like its inspiration, the Torpilleur is powered by the self-winding in-house UN-118 movement and features the same 60-hour power reserve and proprietary Silicium anchor escapement. Beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, the movement is also C.O.S.C-certified.
Ulysse Nardin is launching the new Marine Torpilleur in three different versions, and two different dials: in stainless steel with blue dial, in stainless steel with white dial, and in rose gold with white dial.
The 42 mm case is equipped with a screw-down security crown and offers water-resistance to 50 metres / 165 feet. It frames a dial which maintains several features typical of the Marine collection, including the Roman numeral indexes, the emblematic logo with its flash of red in “1846” and the distinctively-shaped hands.
The small seconds at 6 o’clock encircles the date window, while the 60-hour power reserve indicator is at 12 o’clock.
In alternative to the high-quality alligator leather strap, the stainless steel version can be equipped with a robust steel bracelet.
