First introduced in 2016 on occasion of Baselworld, the Grand Seiko Spring Drive 8 Day Power Reserve is now available in a new version offering an exclusive dial representing the starry sky as visible from Seiko's facility in Shiojiri in central Japan on a clear dark night.
Thanks to a special process that combines both plating and painting, the dial looks like sprinkled with stardust. Against the deep black of the background, the sparkles of the stars shine out from it and the five-faceted profile of the hands and hour markers.
The razor edge polishing of the hands and markers gives this creation the unique Grand Seiko signature.
Water resistant to 100 metres / 330 feet, the rose gold case has a diameter of 43 mm and a thickness of 13.2 mm and features a high definition box shaped sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating.
The sapphire case back reveals the Spring Drive movement with its one-piece bridge, the rubies and the power reserve indicator.
The one-piece bridge ensures the precise positioning of each wheel in the gear train and maximizes the efficiency of the transmission of power from the barrels. Its rigidity and enhanced depth also minimize its distortion in the event of impact or other shock.
Composed of 307 parts, the hand-wound Calibre 9R01 guarantees the exceptional accuracy of ±0.5 second per day (±10 seconds per month).
Completed by a crocodile strap with a rose gold three-fold clasp with push button release, the Grand Seiko Spring Drive 8 Day Power Reserve (ref. SBGD202) will be available next September with a retail price of Euro 52,800. grand-seiko.com

I like this watch and the dial is absolutely beautiful but, come on, how can one justify that price? I would not buy it at more than 20k.
