The Longines Legend Diver Watch is the reissue of a diving watch from 1960. While retaining the codes and design typical of the sixties, this contemporary edition improved legibility, waterproofness and practicality.
Longines celebrates the 10th anniversary of this reissue by offering a new version with a Milanese mesh bracelet.
The lines of the original watch are repeated, including the domed crystal, reminiscent of the technical limitations of the time. But while preserving the sixties spirit of this timepiece, Longines has given this piece contemporary and performance-oriented technical features: sapphire crystal, screwed crown and screwed back to guarantee a water-resistance rating of 300 metres / 1,000 feet, and even an internal bidirectional rotating disc which is activated and locked by the crown at 2 o’clock.
The indices, digits and hands, covered with Super-LumiNova, stand out against the black lacquered dial to offer optimum readability, further sharpened by the simple and clear typography of the 3, 6, 9 and 12 digits.
The 42 mm stainless steel case houses the self-winding mechanical movement Calibre L633 (base ETA 2824/2) beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with an autonomy of 38 hours. A diver is engraved on the screwed back.

I have always been tempted by this watch. Sooner or later...
