Longines HydroConquest redesigned with new dials and bezels

Longines updates its HydroConquest collection with redesigned 39mm and 42mm models, new dials, ceramic bezels and Milanese mesh bracelet. Price €2,200

Longines has unveiled an extensively redesigned HydroConquest collection that blends contemporary aesthetics with improved performance.

Presented in 39 mm and 42 mm stainless steel cases, the range introduces four new dial variations and five ceramic bezel colours, complemented by updated bracelets, including a new Milanese mesh option.

Both sizes share a thickness of 11.70 mm and are fitted with a sapphire crystal featuring multi-layer anti-reflective coating on both sides.

Applied indices on the redesigned dial are coated with Super-LumiNova, ensuring clear legibility both day and night.

The collection offers four dial options: polished lacquered finishes in blue, black, and green, alongside a frosted blue sunray variant.

Five ceramic bezel colours frame these dials. Classic black, blue, and slate grey are joined by two new shades — green and luminous blue — allowing for a wide range of dial and bezel combinations.

The reworked unidirectional rotating bezel system, derived from the Longines Ultra-Chron Diver, delivers improved tactile feedback. 

A Super-LumiNova capsule at the “0” marker ensures visibility in all lighting conditions.

With a screw-in crown and robust construction, the new HydroConquest offers water resistance to 30 bar (300 metres / 1,000 feet).

At the heart of each watch is the Longines exclusive calibre L888.5, a self-winding mechanical movement equipped with a silicon balance spring and components that provide resistance to magnetic fields up to ten times greater than the ISO 764 requirement.

Beating at a frequency of 3.5 Hz (25,200 vibrations per hour), the movement delivers a power reserve of 72 hours.

The screw-down caseback features a refined Longines logo with a planisphere engraving, echoing the design introduced on GMT models in 2023 and subtly referencing the brand’s history in exploration.

This design continuity extends to the bracelet. Most models feature stainless steel H-shaped links, first seen on the GMT range, secured by a double-folding safety clasp with a four-position micro-adjustment system for improved comfort.

For the first time in the collection, three references are also available with stainless steel Milanese mesh bracelets. 

These are equipped with a micro-adjustment clasp and redesigned shortening links for easier adjustment.
