Fortis Marinemaster M-44 DLC with ultra-hard Dianoir coating

The Fortis Marinemaster M-44 DLC features a Dianoir-coated 44 mm case, Gear Bezel with Lock System and Werk 11 chronometer movement. Price: €4,950.

The Marinemaster is Fortis’ oldest collection, a range of professional diver’s watches blending high performance with a rugged, timeless design.

The collection is now enriched by the new Marinemaster M-44 DLC, presented in two dial variations and featuring a 44 mm x 14 mm stainless steel case enhanced by a full Dianoir Diamond-Like Carbon coating.

Thanks to this treatment, the surface reaches around 4,500 Vickers, corresponding to a hardness roughly twenty times higher than conventional stainless steel. 

This significantly increases resistance to scratches, abrasion and corrosion.

The screw-down crown with triple gasket construction and high-performance FKM seals contributes to ensuring water resistance to 50 ATM (500 metres / 1,640 feet).

A defining element of the Marinemaster is the bi-directional Gear Bezel, which can be mechanically secured using the Fortis Lock System. Once set, the timing position remains firmly locked in place.

The two versions, Gravity Black and Black Resin, differ mainly in their dial design. While the Gravity Black focuses on a technical monochrome appearance, the Black Resin introduces golden accents.

Protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, the dial offers excellent legibility even in low-light conditions thanks to the use of Super-LumiNova X1 on the hands and markers.

The Marinemaster M-44 DLC is powered by the Fortis Werk 11, an automatic manufacture movement developed together with Kenissi and certified as a chronometer.

It offers a 70-hour power reserve and features variable inertia regulation for stable rate performance. The watch is paired with a hypoallergenic FKM rubber strap secured to the wrist by a black DLC-coated stainless steel pin buckle.
