Today’s article in our Best of 2025 series focuses on Dive Watches, following our previous features on Chronographs and Sports Watches. Next week we will turn our attention to Dress Watches, before concluding the series on 30 December with wristwatches featuring complications.

As in previous articles, the selected watches are listed alphabetically and not in order of preference.


Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Automatique 38 mm 

Blancpain expands its Fifty Fathoms Automatique line with new 38 mm models, bringing the collection to three case sizes: 38 mm, 42 mm, and 45 mm. Available in stainless steel, Grade 23 titanium, and 18 ct red gold, with sunburst blue or black dials, they offer water resistance to 300 metres / 1,000 feet. Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Automatique 38 mm


Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Tech 45 mm 

Part of the permanent collection, this model is housed in a Grade 23 brushed titanium case measuring 45 mm in diameter and 14.10 mm in thickness. Equipped with a unidirectional 120-click ceramic bezel, it is water resistant to 30 bar (300 metres / 1,000 feet). It is powered by the in-house Calibre 1315A, offering a five-day power reserve. Breitling Superocean Heritage 

This automatic diver’s watch, water resistant to 200 metres / 660 feet, is offered in three sizes — 44 mm, 42 mm, and 40 mm — and introduces the B31 calibre, Breitling’s first in-house movement designed exclusively for a three-hand watch. Certified as a COSC chronometer, it can be paired with mesh metal or mesh rubber bracelets, now slimmer and more integrated with the case. Read the full article.

DOXA SUB 250T GMT

Available in 9 colour variations with either a steel bracelet or a rubber strap, for a total of 18 references, this model reintroduces the GMT complication to the SUB lineup, blending DOXA’s diving heritage with the practical convenience of a second time zone. The 40 mm cushion-shaped case guarantees water resistance to 25 bar (250 metres / 820 feet), while the self-winding movement provides a robust 50-hour power reserve. Read the full article.

DOXA SUB 750T

DOXA reintroduces the SUB 750T with eight colourways on either the classic steel “beads of rice” bracelet or a matching rubber strap. The 45 mm stainless steel case is water resistant to 750 metres / 2,460 feet, with the iconic unidirectional bezel for dive timing. Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 4th generation 

Measuring 42 mm in diameter, the latest generation of the Planet Ocean features an updated case design and slimmer bracelets, maintaining 600 metres / 2,000 feet water resistance. Oris Aquis Pro 1000M

Offering water resistance up to 100 bar (1,000 metres / 3,330 feet), this model features a rotating bezel equipped with the patented Rotation Safety System (RSS), which can be locked once set to prevent accidental adjustment of the minute scale. The 49.5 mm case in grey PVD-coated titanium keeps the watch lightweight despite its imposing size. The self-winding Oris Calibre 733 offers a 41-hour power reserve. Read the full article.

Housed in a one-piece (monobloc) titanium case measuring 45.4 mm in diameter, this edition offers water resistance to 600 metres / 2,000 feet without the need for a helium escape valve. The bezel features a DLC-coated steel insert, while the blue gradient dial evokes the deep sea. Power comes from the automatic Calibre 8L45, beating at 4 Hz with a 72-hour power reserve. Presented as the world’s lightest mechanical dive watch, weighing just 67 grams on its strap, the Diver [AIR] features an ultralight 44 mm case combining titanium and carbon fibre and is water resistant to 200 metres / 660 feet. The luminous bezel insert is forged from CarbonFoil, made of 100 percent upcycled carbon fibres from IMOCA boats.
