Hanhart unveils Aquasphere Ocean Fade with blue-to-black gradient dial

Hanhart has unveiled a special version of its Aquasphere diver’s watch: the Aquasphere Ocean Fade, following the launch of last year’s debut model, the Freefall Blue.

This new model blends the professional functionality of the Aquasphere line with a striking dial that fades from bright blue to deep black. It also introduces a newly developed black or blue rubber strap, specially designed for aquatic use and secured by a high-quality stainless steel folding clasp. 

This new option complements the already available Hooks fabric strap and three-link stainless steel bracelet.

The robust 42 mm x 12.95 mm case, crafted from brushed and polished stainless steel, features a fluted unidirectional bezel with 60 precise clicks for dive timing. 

The ceramic insert is available in two colour variations: blue or black.

The triangle at 12 o’clock, along with the numerals and indices, is treated with Super-LumiNova C1 to ensure optimal legibility underwater and in low-light conditions. 

The same luminescent material is applied to the hands and hour markers.

Engineered to withstand water pressures of up to 30 ATM (300 metres / 1,000 feet), the Aquasphere is equipped with a helium escape valve at 10 o’clock to prevent damage during decompression, an essential feature for professional divers using hyperbaric chambers. 

The screw-down crown, embossed with Hanhart’s ‘H’ logo, is protected by two crown guards, enhancing both durability and visual appeal.

The solid caseback is adorned with an embossed underwater scene rendered in both matte and polished finishes.

Inside, the watch is powered by a Swiss-made Sellita SW 200-1 automatic movement, featuring hacking seconds and a 38-hour power reserve. 

Beating at 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), the movement is adjusted by Hanhart’s expert watchmakers to ensure a daily rate between 0 and +8 seconds over six positions, guaranteeing no negative deviation.

The new Hanhart Aquasphere Ocean Fade is priced at €1,490 with a Hooks strap, €1,590 with a black or blue rubber strap, and €1,690 on a stainless steel bracelet. hanhart.com
