With the new Pelagos FXD US Navy, Tudor pays tribute to its relationship with the US Navy and in particular to the divers’ watches of the brand that were used by US Navy personnel in the late 60s through the early 80s.

In fact, the Pelagos FXD US Navy incorporates elements from the US military specifications for diving watches, such as fixed spring bars, as well as details like pointed crown-guards typically found on early Tudor Submariners.

The 'FXD' nomenclature refers to the robust FiXeD strap bars, which are machined into the main body of the 42 mm x 12.75 mm titanium case for increased robustness and reliability. 

The unidirectional rotatable bezel in titanium features a ceramic insert with 60-minute graduation filled with Grade X1 Swiss Super-LumiNova luminous material.

Waterproof to 200 metres / 660 feet, the case is entirely satin-brushed to produce a matt effect to limit light reflections. Even the bezel ceramic insert has been sand-blasted for the same reason.

Protected by a sapphire crystal, the matt black dial offers the ideal contrast to the large applied hour markers and the typical “Snowflake” hands, both filled with grade X1 Swiss Super-LumiNova.

Designed for reliability over time, the proprietary Calibre MT5602 produced by Kenissi features a variable inertia balance equipped with a non-magnetic silicon balance spring and maintained by a sturdy traversing bridge with a two-point fixing. This self-winding movement beats at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hours) with a power reserve of 70 hours and is certified as a chronometer by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC).

The watch is paired with a one-piece fabric strap with self-gripping fastening system in forest green with red central thread and comes with an additional one-piece rubber strap with embossed fabric motif.
