Rado - Captain Cook Chronograph

The new Rado Captain Cook Chronograph comes in in 3 variations in steel or bronze with prices starting from €4,050.

Rado is expanding its Captain Cook collection with the first chronograph model of the line.

The new Captain Cook Chronograph comes in three variations in distinct shades and strap/bracelet configurations.

The 43 mm x 14.8 mm case, in either polished stainless steel or circular-brushed bronze, features a polished high-tech-ceramic inlay on the bezel, in blue or black, that matches the flange and the dial colour of the particular model. 

Protected by a box-shaped, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both faces, the dial is available in three versions: silver-to-blue gradient, silver-to-black gradient and blue sunray. All of them are completed by applied indices and large hands. 

To enhance readability in the dark, the hours and minutes hands, just like the indices, are filled with Super-LumiNova.

The 30-minute chronograph counter at 9 o'clock is visually balanced by the running seconds at 3 o'clock. At 6 o'clock, the date is displayed in red against silver.

Visible through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback, the R801 automatic movement has 59 hours of power reserve and beats at the frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour). The Nivachron anti-magnetic hairspring further improves accuracy and reliability.

Thanks to screw-in crown and push-buttons, water resistance is guaranteed up to a pressure of 30 bar (approximately 300 metres / 1,000 feet).

The two stainless steel models are equipped with a matching three-row stainless steel bracelet with brushed central links and extensible folding clasp, and an additional coffee-brown or blue leather strap with contrasting stitching, as well as a sporty NATO-style, woven nylon strap, in blue or black, with steel pin-buckle closure. 

The bronze-coloured model comes with a NATO-style strap with a gold-coloured stripe down the centre, as well as a blue leather strap with accent stitching, and an additional NATO-style strap in deep blue, all with bronze pin-buckle closure.

    

Bracelet and straps use the convenient EasyClip system for quick changes without needing any tool.
