The latest creation from Louis Erard is a special edition of its regulator watch developed in collaboration with atelier oï, a multiple awards winning atelier based in La Neuveville, Switzerland, that has been working for 30 years in the fields of architecture, interior architecture, product design and scenography, with a holistic and multi-disciplinary approach to creativity.

For the new Le Régulateur Louis Erard x atelier oï, the key idea was the design of a dial radiating from the centre outwards.

The result, somehow reminiscent of a sundial, is a surface engraved with asymmetrical rays that create a fascinating play of reflections and contrasts.

The lines define the space while the three blue hands (hours, minutes and seconds) from which the rays emerge add the dimension of time. The harmony of the composition is not broken by logos.

The 60 planed lines mark the minutes around the edge of the dial, with a more pronounced line every five minutes.

Housed in a 42 mm x 12.25 mm stainless steel case that guarantees water-resistance up to a pressure of 5 bars (50 metres / 165 feet), this new interpretation of the regulator watch is driven by the automatic Sellita SW266-1 calibre that is displayed through a transparent sapphire crystal porthole. Beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour 4 Hz), it offers 38 hours of power reserve. 

The openworked oscillating weight of this élaboré grade movement is decorated with the Louis Erard symbol. 

The caseback is engraved with “atelier oï x Louis Erard Limited Edition 1 of 178”

The watch is matched to a “Covey” grey calf nubuck leather with tone-on-tone stitching and a polished stainless steel pin buckle.
