The new Radiomir Mediterraneo edition watches by Panerai come with dials evoking the fascinating blue colour of the sea. Available exclusively through the boutiques of the brand, the Panerai Radiomir 45 mm PAM01078 has a price of Euro 10,900 / US$ 11,200 while the Radiomir 42mm PAM01144 retails at Euro 7,900 / US$ 7,900.
As you might guess, the new Radiomir Mediterraneo edition watches by Panerai come with dials evoking the fascinating blue colour of the sea.
In these two models, the outer part of the dial is darker to create even more contrast with the hour markers, thus improving legibility. Towards the centre, the dial becomes lighter through various shades of blue.
The Radiomir PAM01078 comes in a 45 mm case made of brushed titanium with a polished bezel. Titanium is not only very resistant to corrosion but also 40% lighter than steel, which is perfect for a large watch like this.
The see-through sapphire crystal of the caseback reveals a glimpse of the automatic P.4000 mechanical calibre that beats at a frequency of 4 Hz with 3 days of power reserve thanks to its two barrels. The movement was entirely designed and developed in the Panerai Manufacture at Neuchâtel.
The Radiomir PAM01144 features a 42 mm case made of AISI 316L polished steel and is fitted with the hand-wound P.1000 mechanical calibre, also offering 3 days of power reserve.
On the back of the case of each reference, a swirling design created by a metallisation process recalls the waves of the sea.
Both watches are water-resistant to 10 bar (a depth of about 100 metres / 330 feet) and are fitted with a blue alligator strap that matches the colour of the dial, with contrasting beige sewing recalling the colour of the luminous substance used on the hour markers.
