The materials used for this 150-piece limited edition are Quartz TPT and Carbon TPT for the bezel and caseback and Carbon TPT for the caseband.
The layers of silica-based Quartz TPT, no more than 45 microns thick, are interlaced with layers of Carbon TPT as they are stacked by an automatic compiling system that changes the orientation of the fibres by 45° between each layer. Heated to 120° at a pressure of 6 bars in an autoclave, the 600-layer composites are then ready for machining at the brand’s factory. Random patterns in the Quartz TPT and Carbon TPT are then be revealed while milling and turning, making each piece unique.
A crown protector in Carbon TPT ensures that the crown is safe during sporting activities.
The complete case construction is water-resistant to 50 metres thanks to two Nitrile O-ring seals and is assembled using 20 spline screws in grade 5 titanium and 316L stainless steel washers. The case measures 50.23 mm x 42.70 mm x 15.84 mm
Crafted of PVD-treated grade 5 titanium, the skeletonised RMUL2 movement beats at 28,800 vph and offers 55 hours of power reserve thanks to its double barrel. Shock resistance has been tested for impacts of over 5,000 g’s.
