In fact, the Duo name refers to the fact that these timepieces only feature two hands.
Their look is delicate and elegant with the soft tones of silver and gold. Beige velour leather straps that add the right touch to the ensemble.
Bauhaus-inspired, the design of these timepieces is intentionally minimalist making them timeless classics that will never go out of style.
By removing the complication of the small seconds, Nomos was able to further reduce the pricing, making them the ideal gift - a precious mechanical timepiece - for any occasion.
We had the possibility to test all of the four Duo models and, although most of of our pictures have the Ludwig as the protagonist, all of them are beautifully refined and characterized by distinctive details to suit all tastes.
Crafted from stainless steel, the round models (Ludwig, Orion and Tangente) measure 33 millimeters in diameter while the square Tetra has a side length of 27 mm. Their thickness varies between 6.1 mm to 7.6 mm, a result that was possible thanks to the slimness of the movement inside, the 3 Hz (21,600 vph) Alpha.2 calibre, an adaptation of Nomos’ in-house most manufactured caliber, the Alpha, with a modified second wheel featuring a smaller staff.
Although it is meticulously refined with Glashütte ribbing, tempered blue screws, and perlage, the movement is not visible. Instead, a solid case back is perfect for a personalized engraving that is available on request, a detail that will make this timepiece an even more memorable gift. Up to four lines of 22 characters each can be engraved. The engraving will be complimentary - no extra costs - until February the 14th (Valentine's day).
The soft velour leather strap is secured to the wrist by a stainless steel buckle with engraved logo

The Orion 33 Duo (ref. 319) is characterized by a dial with applied golden indices - no numerals here - and a domed glass rather than a flat one. Price: Euro 1,220.
The Orion 33 Duo and, on the right, the Tangente 33 Duo
The Tangente 33 Duo (ref. 120) is immediately recognizable for the distinctive font used for the numerals as well as for the straight lines of the case. Price: Euro 1,120.
Last but not least, the Tetra 27 Duo (ref. 405) stands out for its slender and elegant profile (at 6.1 mm this is the thinnest of the four models). Price: Euro 1,280.
Elegant, comfortable, powered by a reliable and accurate mechanical movement, and accessibly priced, each of the four models of the Duo series by Nomos Glashütte has everything to become a Ladies' favourite. nomos-glashuette.com
