MeisterSinger, the specialist of single-handed watches, is presenting the Perigraph Bronze 2018, a 100-piece limited edition whose character is enhanced by a solid bronze case, a metal of exceptional resilience. Specs and price.
With its open date disk and just one hand to indicate the time, the Perigraph is one of the most successful model in the MeisterSinger collection.
The specialist of single-handed watches is now presenting the Perigraph Bronze, a 100-piece limited edition whose character is enhanced by a 43 mm solid bronze case, a metal of exceptional resilience and great appeal.
Over time, bronze develops a greenish/brown copper oxide layer that protects it from corrosion. This layer, called 'patina', will evolve with its owner by developing its own unique look.
The 12-hour dial of the Perigraph is divided by 144 markers, each representing 5 minutes, and double digits to indicate the hours. The display principle is similar to that of the first mechanical clocks which used just one hand to indicate the time of the day (you can read more about single-hand timepieces in watchmaking history here).
The colours of the dial — the black background, the “old Radium” hue used for the hand and the indices, and the red accents — well harmonize with the reddish gleam of the bronze case.
The Perigraph Bronze is driven by a 4 Hz automatic movement visible through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback. Based on ETA 2824-2 or Sellita 200-1, it offers an autonomy of 38 hours.
The sixfold screwed caseback is made of stainless steel and contributes to make the watch water resistant to 5 bar (50 metres / 165 feet).
Nicely matched to a vintage-looking calfskin leather strap with a black DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coated clasp, the MeisterSinger Perigraph Bronze has a price of Euro 2,090. meistersinger.com
