Audemars Piguet and Richard Mille announced that they will exhibit at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) for the last time in 2019.
To explain the reasons behind this decision after 19 years of partnership, Audemars Piguet remarked that its business model is changing and, therefore, the Manufacture has decided to explore new directions in order to forge closer and more direct relationships with end-clients and watch enthusiasts worldwide.
For Richard Mille, the opening of a growing number of dedicated mono-brand boutiques, drastically reduced its representation through multi-brand retailers in order to qualitatively satisfy a constant increase in demand. Consequently, the brand's presence at exhibitions no longer corresponds to its strategy for exclusive and selective distribution.
Both brands will still be present at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie 2019 (Geneva, January 14-17) that will bring together 35 exhibiting brands as listed below.
