The Austrian brand Habring² was launched in 2004 by Richard Habring and his wife Maria (Habring² refers to the couple).
In 2014, the two celebrated ten years of activity with the introduction of their first movement, the hand-wound 4Hz A11 Calibre. Completely manufactured in-house with the help of few selected partners from Austria, Switzerland and Germany, this movement represented an exceptional achievement, especially for a family-run company, and the base for several variants: time-date, jumping second, and jumping second with date.
The latest evolution of the A11 movement is the A11C-H1 chronograph movement equipping the new Chrono-Felix.
Beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, this hand-wound chronograph movement offers 48 hours of power reserve and features a tangential screw for fine adjustment as well as an anti-magnetic escapement with a Carl Haas hairspring guaranteeing chronometer quality.
The stainless steel 38.5 mm x 10.5 mm case frames a minimalist silver-white fine-grained dial with black print and black (or red) “12”.
The 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock is visually balanced by the small seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock.
The baton hands are available in black oxidised steel or in blued steel on request.
Waterproof to a depth of 30 metres / 100 feet, the three-part case features a double-sealed crown and a transparent sapphire crystal caseback to showcase the beautifully finished movement.
The new Habring² Chrono-Felix will be available from September at an interesting price of Euro 6,250. habring2.com
