Bvlgari Lvcea Tubogas. In 2018 Bulgari combined its successful Lucea watch model with the iconic Tubogas bracelet creating 5 new Lucea Tubogas models. Prices.
Formed by long bands of gold or steel that are wrapped around a steel core, the Tubogas bracelet has become one of the symbols of Bulgari’s distinctive style in jewellery.
An example of industrial-inspired design (the name came from its similarity to a lowly woven-metal gas pipe), the Tubogas was popularized in the Art Deco period. In the 1940s, Bulgari inserted a watch dial into a Tubogas bracelet to create a stylized serpent watch. The design was then revived in the 1970s when Bulgari introduced it into watches, bracelets, necklaces and rings.
In 2018, Bulgari combined for the first time its successful Lucea watch model with the iconic bracelet expanding the Lucea line with five new Lucea Tubogas models.
Available in 28 mm or 33 mm models, the stylish stainless steel version has a dramatic black lacquer dial.
A white mother-of-pearl dial is associated to an alternating steel and rose gold Tubogas bracelet, also presented in 28 mm and 33 mm sizes.
Finally, a precious 33 mm in rose gold is enhanced by diamonds around the bezel and on the bracelet.
All five Lucea Tubogas watches have diamond hour markers and a pink cabochon-cut gemstone set into the crown. Water resistance is 50 metres / 165 feet.
The 28 mm models are powered by quartz movements while the 33 mm models boast a mechanical calibre which offers a practical date function at 3 o’clock. Beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, this automatic movement offers 42 hours of power reserve.
Retail prices of the new Lucea Tubogas start at Euro 5,350 / US$ 5,550. bulgari.com
