MeisterSinger Archao, a bold single-hand watch in DLC with LumiBlox

MeisterSinger introduces the Archao: a bold 43mm single-hand watch featuring a matte black DLC case and LumiBlox luminous markers. Price: €2,390.

The first model to mark MeisterSinger’s 25th anniversary is the Archao, a single-handed sporty watch named after the Greek archaios, meaning “primal” or “original”.

True to its name, the Archao focuses on the essentials. Its pared-back design and clear display underline the brand’s commitment to simplicity.

Guided by the idea that time does not need to be divided into minutes and seconds to be meaningful, the world’s leading manufacturer of mechanical single-hand watches has created an unmistakable design language.

Housed in a 43 mm stainless steel case with a matte black diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating that increases surface hardness and resistance to wear, the Archao is characterised by prominent applied hour markers that mirror the divided design of the single hand.

The hour markers, double-digit numerals and needle-shaped hand are made from white LumiBlox. These elements absorb light during the day and release it in the dark, providing strong luminosity at night.

The dial has a finely grained surface and is available in black (ref. AR902BL), blue (ref. AR908BL), or red (ref. AR911BL).

The large hour markers and numerals are rendered in white, along with the half-hour and quarter-hour markings. The five-minute scale appears in light grey and is visually more subdued.

The single hand of the Archao has been redesigned as a formally divided element. The triangular tip at the front extends into a counterbalancing overhang at the back, interrupted at the centre. 

The hand is hollowed along its length, a structural detail that also increases the visible luminous surface in low light.

Inside is the Swiss-made Sellita SW200 automatic movement, operating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and offering a power reserve of approximately 38 hours.

The exhibition caseback is printed with the model name “Archao” in transparent lettering against a volcano-inspired background.

Water-resistant to 5 bar (50 metres / 165 feet), the MeisterSinger Archao is fitted with a saddle leather strap featuring contrasting white stitching and is priced at €2,390. meistersinger.com
