Piaget - Polo Perpetual Calendar Ultra-thin

Piaget is introducing the new Polo Perpetual Calendar Ultra-thin. The new Piaget Polo Perpetual Calendar Ultra-thin G0A48005 has a price of €61,000.

Piaget is enriching its Polo collection with the new Polo Perpetual Calendar Ultra-thin.

Although the Swiss brand has already offered perpetual calendar models in other product lines, this is the first time that this fascinating complication appears in the sporty and casual Polo range.

This attractive model comes in the typical Polo case that blends oblong and round shapes. Crafted from stainless steel with alternating satin-brushed and polished surfaces, it measures 42 mm in diameter with a thickness of just 8.65 mm thanks to a state-of-the-art ultra-thin self-winding movement. 

The dial is a real eye-catcher with its dark emerald-green colour that changes in intensity depending on the angle of light that hits the horizontal embossed bars. The perpetual calendar indications are displayed by means of the three snailed sub-dials at 9 o'clock (day of the week), 12 o'clock (months and leap year) and 3 o’clock (date) and are complemented by the moonphase indication at 6 o’clock. 

Assuming that the watch has been kept fully wound, the calendar indications will not require any manual adjustment until the year 2100.

The legibility of the time is excellent thanks to large indices and hour and minuted hands, all filled with white Super-LumiNova glowing in blue in the dark.

The transparent sapphire crystal case back reveals the Manufacture self-winding 1255P Calibre. Equipped with a micro-rotor,  this ultra-thin movement has a total thickness of only 4 mm. Beating a 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz)  it offers 42 hours of power reserve.

The watch comes on a stainless steel bracelet alternating polish and satin finish as well as with a green rubber strap alternative echoing the gadroon pattern on the dial.

Thanks to a brand-new interchangeable SingleTouch system, it is fast and easy to switch between metal bracelet and rubber strap without needing any tool.
