Drawing creative inspiration from architecture since 2002 with the creation of an All Dial model evoking the Roman Colosseum amphitheatre, in 2022 Mido is celebrating 20 years of this special journey with five exclusive timepieces from its flagship collections, each of them paying homage to an iconic building.

After the All Dial, the Baroncelli and the Ocean Star, we write today about the Multifort celebrative edition. In the coming months, Mido will release the new model from the Commander collection.

Mido Multifort 20th Anniversary Limited Edition

The new Multifort 20th Anniversary Limited Edition takes inspiration from the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The famous monument’s suspension cables are represented by the vertical Geneva stripes decorating the anthracite dial of this unique timepiece, while the structure’s silhouette is depicted in black Super-LumiNova.

In the dark, the phosphorescent substance makes its lines appearing in green to match the indexes and hour and minute hands, which are also luminescent. An aperture at 3 o’clock displays the day and date, a very useful everyday function.

Crafted from stainless steel with alternating satin-finished and polished surfaces, the 42 mm case ensures water-resistance up to 100 metres / 330 feet, also thanks to the screwed crown.

Behind the solid case back engraved with a drawing of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Mido Caliber 80 automatic movement (ETA C07.621 base) beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and provides up to 80 hours of power reserve.

The satin-finished stainless steel bracelet is secured to the wrist by a double folding clasp.

Delivered in a special presentation box decorated with a medallion houses, the Mido Multifort 20th Anniversary Limited Edition ref. M005.430.11.061.81 will be produced in a limited run of 1,932 pieces – a reference to the year in which the bridge was opened - with a price of Euro 1,030. midowatches.com
