H. Moser & Cie. keeps expanding its sporty Streamliner line launched in 2020. After the flyback chronograph and the three-hand model, it is now the time to add the complication for which the Swiss brand is more famous, the perpetual calendar.

It was 2005 when Moser introduced one of the most elegant and understated implementations of the perpetual calendar attracting the attention of many watch collectors and enthusiasts.

Purely minimalist, the new Streamliner Perpetual Calendar uses the hour indices to mark the months via a small red and white central hand (1 o'clock for January, 2 o'clock for February, and so on).

Aligned on the crown, the date window is positioned at 4 o'clock. The current date is displayed by means of two superimposed discs which operate one after the other, from 1 to 15, then from 16 to 31.

The date changes in a flash at midnight thanks to an instantaneous date-change mechanism, and it can be adjusted forwards or backwards at any time of day.

The remarkable power reserve - 168 hours or 7 days! - is discreetly indicated at 10 o'clock.

Enhanced by a sunburst pattern, the fumé dial is protected by a gently domed sapphire crystal and framed by a 42.3 mm cushion-shaped case crafted from stainless steel with brushed and polished finishes.

The three-dimensional curved hands indicating the hours and minutes are formed of two sections and feature inserts made from Globolight, an innovative ceramic-based material which contains Super-LumiNova. The red and white outer minute track measures the movement of the central seconds hand.

Correctly reproducing the transition from 28 to 29 February during leap years, and subsequently switching directly to 1 March at midnight of the leap day, the Streamliner Perpetual Calendar moved the leap year indicator on the movement side.

Visible via the sapphire case-back, the 2.5 Hz (18,000 vibrations per hour) hand-wound manufacture HMC 812 calibre is meticulously hand-finished with the traditional Moser double stripes and an anthracite grey PVD coating on the balance bridges, train wheels, barrel and escapement plate. The main plate is microblasted and features anthracite rhodium plating.

The watch is secured to the wrist by an integrated steel bracelet whose articulated links follow the design of the case. The triple folding clasp is engraved with the Moser logo.
