Glashütte Original - Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date, 2021 Yellow and Turquoise Editions

Glashütte Original presented two new limited editions of the Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date with yellow or turquoise dial. Prices and specs.
Glashütte Original presented two new limited editions of the Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date, a model that we really liked when we reviewed the Green dial version (you can read about it here).

Glashütte Original Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date 2021 Limited Editions

The new 2021 limited editions of these flyback chronographs with large outsize date display are characterised by the striking colours of their dials: the first is coated entirely with yellow varnish, the second features a refined sunray finish then coated with a turquoise-black varnish with dégradé effect. For each dial colour, only 100 pieces will be created.

Glashütte Original Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date Yellow (ref. 1-37-02-07)

All the indications are efficiently arranged: central stop seconds, 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o'clock, small seconds and power reserve display at 9 o'clock, 12-hour chronograph aperture at 12 o'clock and the signature Panorama Date at 6 o'clock.

Protected by a flat sapphire crystal, the dial offers excellent legibility in any light conditions thanks to the Super-LumiNova treatment used for the applied indices and the hands.

40 mm in diameter and 14.1 mm thick, the distinctive stainless steel case alternates satin-brushed and polished finishes.

The screwed crown is protected by two guards well harmonised with the two chronograph push buttons. On  the upper left side of the case we find the Panorama Date corrector.

Visible through the sapphire crystal case back, the automatic chronograph movement with column wheel and flyback mechanism, Calibre 37-02, beats at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) with an autonomy of 70 hours.

In line with the high standards of Saxon watchmaking, finishes are excellent and include bevelled edges, polished steel parts, blued screws, the typical Glashütte three-quarter plate with stripe finish, and a  skeletonised rotor with 21-ct-gold oscillation weight and the double G logo.

Water resistant up yo a pressure of 10 ATM, the new models can be matched to grey-brown calfskin-Nubuck leather strap or to a metal bracelet featuring a foldover clasp with fine adjustment mechanism.

Prices of the Glashütte Original Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date, either with Yellow (ref. 1-37-02-07) or Turquoise dial (ref. 1-37-02-06), start from Euro 12,900. glashuette-original.com
