A watch of absolute elegance, the Villeret Ultraplate ref. 6651-3640 displays hours, minutes, central seconds and date. The Blancpain Villeret Ultraplate is available matched to a midnight-blue alligator strap (ref. 6651-3640-55) or to a red gold "mille mailles" bracelet (ref. 6651-3640-MMB) with prices of Swiss Francs 18,200 and Swiss Francs 36,300, respectively.
Together with the Quantième Complet model that we presented yesterday, Blancpain also introduced an Ultraplate model with a slim red gold case framing a midnight blue dial enhanced by a sunburst finish.
A watch of absolute elegance, the Villeret Ultraplate ref. 6651-3640 displays hours, minutes, central seconds and date ensuring optimal legibility.
The 40 mm red gold case has a thickness of just 8.70 mm and is water resistant to a pressure of 3 bar (approx 30 metres / 100 feet).
The Villeret style is recognizable in the rounded double-stepped bezel, the stylish hands meticulously crafted in the shape of cut-out sage leaves and the applied Roman numeral hour-markers crafted in gold. The seconds hands bear the initials of Jehan-Jacques Blancpain, the founder of the brand.
The watch is driven by the 3 Hz self-winding calibre 1151 which achieves a 100-hour power reserve (more than four days) thanks to the use of two series-coupled barrels. It is fitted with a silicon hairspring, a material insensitive to magnetic fields.
Visible through a sapphire crystal case-back, the movement is beautifully decorated with a Côtes de Genève motif adorning the bridges and a honeycomb pattern on the red gold oscillating weight.
The Blancpain Villeret Ultraplate can be paired to a midnight-blue alligator strap (ref. 6651-3640-55) or to a red gold "mille mailles" bracelet (ref. 6651-3640-MMB) with prices of Swiss Francs 18,200 and Swiss Francs 36,300, respectively. blancpain.com
