Nomos Glashütte introduced the Orion neomatik 41 date olive gold (ref. 364) and the Orion neomatik 41 date midnight blue (ref. 363) . Specs and prices of both models.
The Orion is one of the most classic models from Nomos Glashütte. It was one of the brand’s earliest models launched in 1992.
Last July, the German watchmaker released the Orion neomatik 41 date with an entirely new automatic calibre and integrated date function at 3 o’clock. The initial model with white silver-plated dial is now joined by two new variations, the first with a new shade of green named olive gold and the second with an elegant midnight blue.
The olive gold version features gold-plated indexes and hands that create a nice contrast with the stainless steel case while indexes and hands of the midnight blue model are rhodium-plated.
Together with the innovative movement, the two watches share the size (40.5 mm x 9.35 mm) of the stainless steel case, a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and the Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan black, remborde strap.
Visible through the sapphire crystal case back, the neomatik calibre DUW 6101 is very thin at just 3.6 mm and characterised by the typical three-quarter plate architecture. Finishes are excellent with Glashütte ribbing, perlage and golden engravings. The bidirectional winding rotor is enhanced by gold-plated embossing. Beating at a frequency of 4 Hz (21,600 vph), it guarantees up to 42 hours of autonomy.
Water resistant to 50 metres / 165 feet, the Nomos Glashütte Orion neomatik 41 date olive gold (ref. 364) and Orion neomatik 41 date midnight blue (ref. 363) have a retail price of Euro 3,420. nomos-glashuette.com
