IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Annual Calendar Edition “150 Years”. We continue our presentation of the various models — all characterized by white or blue lacquered dials — that are part of the Jubilee Collection introduced by IWC earlier this year in Geneva during the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie 2018 to celebrate the important milestone of 150 years of history of the brand. This time we focus on the Big Pilot’s Watch Annual Calendar Edition “150 Years”, the only model in the collection with an annual calendar. Production of the IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Annual Calendar Edition “150 Years” (ref. IW502708) will be limited to just 100 pieces, each with a price of Euro 20,200 / US$ 19,700.

After the Tribute to Pallweber Edition “150 Years” and the Portugieser Constant-Force Tourbillon Edition “150 Years”, this time we focus on the Big Pilot’s Watch Annual Calendar Edition “150 Years”, the only model in the collection with an annual calendar.
Its imposing stainless steel case (diameter 46.2 mm, height 15.5 mm) frames a beautiful blue dial with lacquered finish offering perfect legibility thanks to contrasting rhodium-plated hands and white printed indices and numerals.
The annual calendar has an American-format display for the month, date and day in three separate windows on the dial and requires adjustment only once a year at the end of February.
The 4 Hz (28,800 vph) IWC-manufactured 52850 calibre is equipped with the Pellaton winding system which features virtually wear-free ceramic components and uses two barrels to generate a remarkable power reserve of 7 days.
The movement and the rotor with an inlaid Jubilee medallion can be viewed through the see-through sapphire-glass back. The watch is water resistant to 60 metres / 200 feet.

This is a fantastic watch but the price is high.
ReplyDeleteHi rafandy. The price is an important one but you should consider the quality of the manufacture movement with ceramic components and 7 days of power reserve, the annual calendar complication, the exclusive lacquered dial created for the Jubilee collection and that only 100 pieces of this limited edition will be produced.
