The three aviation domains are symbolised by the respective dial colours of the thee models: Black for the Air Force, Petrol Blue for Naval Aviation and Military Green for bush flying.
The new chronograph satisfies the strict requirements of a pilot watch: precision, shock resistance, an anti-magnetic case and a highly contrasting dial for instant readability.
Powered by the AL-725 Automatic Chronograph calibre beating at 28,800 vph and offering a power reserve of 46 hours, the Startimer Pilot Automatic Chronograph features the typical Alpina aviation dial design with the Alpina red triangle symbol and, below it, the chronograph counters: 30-minute at 12 o'clock and 12-hour at 6 o'clock.
The AL-725 is a variation on the well-known Valjoux 7750 chronograph movement, in which the small second hand has been removed to create a vertical layout.
The 44 mm stainless steel case with an oversized pilot screw-in crown features a scratch proof sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, an engraved screw-in case-back with the Startimer Pilot Collection symbol and is water-resistant up to 100 metres / 330 feet.
