Jaeger-LeCoultre and Aston Martin started their partnership about ten years ago and the two brands continue to share the same dedication to excellence and innovation. La Grande Maison was founded in 1833 while the British car maker was founded in 1913 so year 2013 is an important anniversary for both: 180 years for Jaeger-LeCoultre and 100 years for Aston Martin. To celebrate, Jaeger-LeCoultre presented the new Master Hometime Aston Martin and two other timepieces.
The Master Hometime Aston Martin (ref. Q162847N) stands out for the structured sunburst black dial which emphasises the sporty nature of the watch just like the satin-finish middle strip of the 40 mm case.
The time indications are adjusted in one-hour increments, either forwards or backwards, in order to display local time immediately upon reaching a given destination.
When you don't need the display of a second time-zone, the two hour hands can be brought back to the superimposed position so that you will only see the main hour hand.
As written above, Jaeger-LeCoultre presented two other timepieces to celebrate the partnership:
Master Compressor Extreme W-Alarm Aston Martin (ref. Q177847N) - A special version of the Master Compressor Extreme W-Alarm standard version offering a world time display combined with an alarm function. The 46.3 mm case is made of titanium and steel. The black dial bearing alternating red and white indications is adorned with a surface treatment evoking the grill on Aston Martin cars. Limited Edition of 100 pieces.
AMVOX5 World Chronograph Cermet (ref. Q193A470) - This new versions of the AMVOX5 is made of Cermet, the revolutionary high-tech material composed of an aluminium core and ceramic particles, covered with a protective ceramic coating, and it is characterised by the classic Aston Martin colours: black, anthracite, white and red.
