As a preview of the novelties prepared for Baselworld 2016, Eberhard presented a new look for the Grande Taille version of the Extra-Fort chronograph, one of the most characteristic models of the Bienne-base watchmaker.
Classic in its lines but with distinctive details, the Eberhard Extra-fort Chrono Grande Taille is now available in four new dial variations characterised by "frappé" finishing (a special stamping technique) and snailed counters: silver with silver counters, blue with silver counters, grey with grey counters, and silver with black counters.
The subdial at 3 o’clock displays the number of minutes recorded by the chronograph while the seconds can be read off on the central hand. The running seconds subdial is symmetrically positioned at 9 o'clock to create a visual balance to the 30-minute chronograph counter. At 6 o'clock we find the date aperture.
The dial is completed by Dauphine hands and applied Roman numerals and indices.
The 41 mm x 13,90 mm stainless steel case houses the automatic ETA 7750 chronograph movement beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a power reserve of 42 hours when the chronograph is not running.
With its screw-in crown and caseback fixed with 6 screws, the Extra-fort Grande Taille is water resistant to 50 metres.
The Eberhard Extra-fort Grande Taille (ref. 31953) with black or brown alligator strap has a price of Euro 3,630. The watch is also available with a Chalin steel bracelet with the option of the patented Déclic deployment clasp. eberhard-co-watches.ch
