A. Lange & Söhne announced that, at the upcoming SIHH 2015 (Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie), will present three models of the Saxonia watch family with a new dial design: Saxonia, Saxonia Automatic, and Saxonia Dual Time.
With this new generation of models, A. Lange and Sohne aims to further improve the legibility of the dials and their aesthetic balance.
The solid-gold applied hour markers have been moved toward the periphery of the argenté dial and feature double baton appliques at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock. The slightly extended black graduations of the minute scale are also more striking.
For the Saxonia Automatic and the Saxonia Dual Time, the tens markers of the subsidiary seconds dial have been enriched with numerals.
The diameter of the Saxonia, powered by the L941.1 manufacture calibre (21,600 vph and 45 hours of power reserve) has been reduced from 37 to 35 mm with a thickness of just 7.3 mm. The Saxonia is available in white gold (ref. 219.026) and in pink gold (ref. 219.032).
The Saxonia Automatic maintains the size of 38.5 and the beautifully finished self-winding calibre L086.1. In white gold (ref. 380.027) and pink gold (ref. 380.033).
Also the diameter of the Saxonia Dual Time - which features a second time zone hand with 24-hour display and day/night indication - has been reduced from 40 mm to 38.5 mm, the same size of the Saxonia Automatic.
All the movements of the Saxonia models are decorated and assembled by hand with plates and bridges made of untreated German silver and hand-engraved balance cocks. Below the movement of the Saxonia Automatic. alange-soehne.com

The Saxonia has been part of the manufactory’s collection since the rebirth of the brand 20 years ago. It is a minimalist and purely elegant line where each detail has a strong impact on the overall appearance.
