For twenty-five years, MeisterSinger has specialised in single-hand time display, eliminating conventional minute and seconds hands in favour of a simplified indication of time.
The Panthero Jumping Hour introduces a new interpretation of this principle by combining the brand’s characteristic minute display with a mechanically driven jumping-hour complication.
The result is a newly developed watch architecture comprising a redesigned case, a dedicated jumping-hour module and a dial layout conceived specifically for this display configuration.
The stainless steel case measures 40.5 mm in diameter and features a slim bezel that maximises dial aperture.
The middle case integrates alternating brushed and polished surfaces, while the spiral-formed crown allows precise winding and time setting.
A subtly domed sapphire crystal protects the dial, and a four-screw sapphire exhibition back allows visibility of the movement. The case is water-resistant to 5 bar (50 metres / 165 feet).
Hours are shown through a circular aperture and advance instantaneously at the top of each hour via a jumping mechanism integrated into the movement module.
Minutes are indicated by a single hand mounted off-centre, sweeping across a raised minute ring positioned concentrically to its own axis rather than the centre of the dial.
This separation of axes requires a reconfigured gear transmission to coordinate the minute indication with the jumping-hour disc, ensuring precise synchronisation between the two displays.
In addition to the primary indications, a continuously rotating sun wheel is visible on the dial. Mechanically driven by the movement, it rotates without performing a measuring function, serving instead as a visual indicator of the gear train’s ongoing motion.
Its form is derived from the brand’s fermata emblem and introduces a secondary kinetic element without interfering with the legibility of the primary time display.
Powering the Panthero Jumping Hour is the automatic MS-JH-01 calibre, developed on the proven Sellita SW300 and refined with a proprietary jumping-hour module.
Operating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), the movement offers a power reserve of approximately 47 hours and drives both the instantaneous hour display and the continuously rotating sun wheel.
Through the sapphire case back, the rotor is clearly visible. Its shape is defined by three interlocking fermatas, while both the rotor and the ring around the bearing are finished in anthracite.
The darker treatment sets the oscillating mass apart from the rest of the movement, ensuring legibility without obstructing the view of the calibre.
The new collection debuts with a strictly limited anniversary edition, the Panthero Jumping Hour Guilloché, produced in just 25 pieces to mark the brand’s 25-year history.
Its silver dial is crafted entirely by hand on a historic, manually operated guilloché machine, each line cut individually with patience and precision.
The metallic anthracite minute track, hand and sun wheel create a refined contrast against the textured surface. This edition is paired with a brown calfskin strap featuring a crocodile embossing and stands as the inaugural expression of the Panthero family.
Alongside it, two serial-production models introduce high-gloss lacquered dials in deep black and bright white.
Their polished surfaces evoke the sheen of piano lacquer, with contrasting dial elements—white on black, black on white—ensuring clarity and graphic strength.
Each model is fitted with a glossy calfskin strap embossed in crocodile pattern, tone-on-tone for the white version and coordinated in black for the darker model. As with all MeisterSinger watches, alternative straps, including Milanese bracelets and vintage-inspired leathers, allow further personalization. The lug width is 20 mm.Conceived as the new flagship within the MeisterSinger universe, the Panthero Jumping Hour broadens the single-hand philosophy without abandoning its essence, offering a different way of perceiving the hour while maintaining a composed and harmonious aesthetic.
The Panthero Jumping Hour Guilloché (ref. ED-PTJHG901), limited to 25 pieces, is priced at €7,990. The serial-production Panthero Jumping Hour models (refs. PTJH901 and PTJH902) are priced at €6,990. All versions will be available from March 2026. meistersinger.com
