Zenith - El Primero 36’000 VPH Openworked Dial

With its tri-colour (anthracite, blue and light grey) counters, the Zenith El Primero Chronograph is recognisable at first glance.

The latest iteration of the successful model reveals the inner workings of its fast-beating movement through a skeletonized dial.

The date disc features stencil-type numerals outlined against a scarlet red background at 6 o’clock. The slate grey inner bezel ring, bearing faceted luminescent hour-markers swept over by similarly facetted luminescent hours and minutes hands, is rimmed by a tachymetric scale pointed to by a slender star-tipped chronograph sweep-seconds hand.

The imposing 45 mm stainless steel case remarks the sporty nature of the watch and guarantees water-resistance to 100 metres.

Beating at the frequency of 36’000 vibrations/hour which enables a tenth-of-a-second display, the column-wheel El Primero 400B automatic movement delivers excellent precision while ensuring a power reserve of more than 50 hours.

The new Zenith El Primero 36’000 VPH Chronograph (ref. 03.2522.400/69.R576) is equipped with a perforated rubber strap secured by a triple folding clasp, or a stainless steel bracelet. Retail price: Euro 7,100 / US$ 6,900. zenith-watches.com
