The design of the New Britain NA 521 is clearly inspired to the classic motorcycle speedometer and to the spirit of freedom and independence typical of riders.
The 45 mm steel case, with its V-twin case/lugs construction, alternates satin-finished and polished surfaces. Details like the screw-down coin-edge bezel and the red cabochon crown contribute to the quality that you perceive while handling it.
The manual-wind movement is a meticulously finished Unitas 6498 which meets the stringent standards for chronometers, making it certifiable. Appropriately, the sandblasted bridges, the angled edges and the polished screws can be admired through the sapphire crystal caseback. When fully wound, the power reserve of the movement is approx 48 hours.
A hand-sewn leather strap with steel tang buckle completes the timepiece.
Manufactured in limited series, the new collection includes model NA522 with silver dial and black strap, and model NA523 with black dial, DLC-coated middle case and black strap. Priced at $3,200 (NA521, NA522) and $3,600 (NA523), these watches deliver excellent value while standing out from the crowd.
