Eterna presented the new Royal KonTiki Two Time Zones, a sporty new watch with a second time-zone display on a black dial. The 42 mm polished and satin finished stainless steel case is water resistant to 100 mt and it is characterised by sand-blasted curved grooves reminiscent of its 1970s predecessor.
The case houses the Eterna proprietary Calibre 3945A, a self-winding movement based on the Eterna basic calibre 39 that the watchmaker based in Grenchen started developing in 2007. Calibre 3945A includes Eterna's Spherodrive technology for improving the performance of the barrel, which is the energy storage and delivery system of a watch. Strategically positioned ball bearings fitted with tiny but self-lubricating zirconium-oxide spheres allow the various parts involved to rotate much more smoothly, generating less wear and tear.
